Analytical Cubism

A push further by Picasso, was analytical cubism. Where both he and fellow cubist Braque studied the planes of a subject and from different vantage points, fractured them, and pulled them forward towards the canvas surface. The planes then shimmer in their ambiguous positive and negative relationships to one another.
